About

Nice to meet you.

My name is Baji Tumendemberel. I graduated from Yale University in 2022. I find my passion at the intersection between data science and social justice.

My work focuses on the questions that lawyers, advocates, and policymakers can't answer with intuition alone — questions about disparate outcomes, structural barriers, and who gets counted (or doesn't) in the data we make decisions on. I gravitate toward projects where statistical evidence can shift a legal argument, shape a policy debate, or sharpen a public conversation.

I work primarily in Python and R, with detours into SQL, GIS tooling, and whatever court-records scraper a given project requires. I'm always open to conversations about civil-rights litigation, public-interest data journalism, and computational social science — feel free to reach out.
